The Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Implementation of the Turkish Citizenship Law (“Regulation”) entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated December 12, 2023 and numbered 32397
The Regulation limits the types of immovable property foreseen in the Regulation On The Application Of The Turkish Citizenship Law for the acquisition of Turkish citizenship through investment through the acquisition of real estate.
According to the Regulation, in order for an immovable property to be eligible for acquisition of Turkish citizenship by investment through real estate acquisition;
- it must be an independent section and a construction servitude or condominium ownership must have been established in this section, or
- it must be a land and have a building on it.
The Regulation has entered into force as of the date of publication.
