Ismail Aydin is an all-round, hands-on seasoned lawyer with a special expertise and interest in maritime, shipping and insurance law.
Aydın also provides services to his clients in matters such as hull and machinery (H&M) and protection and indemnity (P&I) insurance issues, customs problems, smuggling, ship accidents, consultancy and legal process follow-up.
He has significant experience and reputation in handling cargo claims, wet and dry shipping matters, customs problems in Turkey as well as in more than 30 countries in Black Sea, Mediterranean, North Europe and West Africa regions.
Aydın has deep knowledge and experience on OFAC, EC and United Nations sanctions on Iran, Syria, Libya, Russia.
Aydın holds a master’s degree in Law of the Sea from Lund University and the World Maritime University.
