Türkiye’s first comprehensive legal regulation addressing climate change, the Climate Law numbered 7552 (“Law”), was published in the Official Gazette No. 32951 dated July 9, 2025, and entered into force.

The Law encompasses fundamental regulations on numerous issues, including the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, climate change adaptation, management of climate risks, establishment of an emission trading system, and development of climate finance instruments.
