The Regulation Amending the Regulation on the Exercise of Professions and Arts by Foreigners of Turkish Descent in Türkiye and Their Employment in Public or Private Institutions, Organizations or Workplaces (“Regulation”) was published in the Official Gazette dated 10 October 2025 and numbered 33043. With this amendment, the principles regarding the determination of Turkish descent status, exemption from work permit, and eligibility criteria have been set forth. Accordingly, foreigners of Turkish descent who meet the prescribed conditions are granted the right to work in Türkiye without obtaining a work permit.
